KS200G & F series irrigation controllers

KS200F Series Poster

The KS200F series features easy to use IoT smart valve and pump controllers with a maximum of 4 valve or pump channels with electronic override alarm or 8 channels without per controller. The IP54 rated enclosure ready for standard outdoor deployment with operating temperature range of -15°C to +65°C. F-series irrigation controllers are often used to control a pump with a control valve or 2 valves in the middle of two irrigations rows. They are one of the main building blocks for any smart farming system.

Key features

Motor valves

Input voltages:

A) Input voltage ¼”▲):    5VDC
B) Input voltage ½” – 5”♡):    12VDC*) / 24VDC♣) / 220VAC□)

Note: 
▲) ¼” is not interchangeable with other valve sizes
♡) ½” – 1” can use same type of master controller
 1 ½” – 5” can use same type of master controller
*) 12VDC standard for B) other voltages on special order 
♣) 24VDC valves are recommended for intermediate cable run lengths of 10m-25m between controller and valve
□) 220VAC valves are recommended only for large motor valves (> 2”) or long distances (>25m) between controller and valve. Maximum run lengths depend on wire diameter. Special safety precautions are to be followed and installation should be carried out by a certified electrician only.

Valve material options:

  • Brass: used in all standard models. Use for clean water / tap water, filtered rain or pond water with low salinity <600 mg/L. Typical applications: green house irrigation circuits
  • SS304: for more corrosive waters with higher salinity >600 mg/L, can withstand higher temperatures and pressures. Typical applications: process applications, pumping at high pressure
  • UPVC: for more corrosive waters. Typical applications: inserting into outdoor irrigation circuits made of PVC or PE tubing, low pressure applications

Manual override switch with feedback / alarm

Models with electrical override switches allow you to switch 4 valves or pumps by pressing a button on the controller. This is different from the PVC valve for manual bypass on the bypass assembly since it does switch the smart valve via a command while letting the control system know that someone has turned on the smart valve for instant service. This is to say that the manual bypass valve should only be turned on as a last resort in case of valve failure. By pressing the button the system can also notify the user after a certain period that the valve is still open or similarly (if used for pumps) that the pump is still on.

Models without this feedback can switch up to 8 channels. This is often used in cases were manual overides (except for emergencies) are not desired.
