Our smart valve controllers all come bundled with complete assemblies of motor valves with 3m cabling + 2 matching PVC bypass valves all mounted on a water-resistant cement board for outdoor or plast-wood for food processing facilities. This is to avoid field assembly and speed-up installation. The basic bypass assembly variant is featured in the picture below and there exist multiple customizations all with their pros and cons. In case a smart valve replacement becomes necessary we recommend to exchange the entire bypass assembly or order a model with PVC union couplings that allow for extraction of the smart valve part by any qualified plumber of your choice.
